Clean/Low Sodium Steak Fajitas!



Happy Mother’s day! Even though it is a holiday, I am still working in the kitchen to ensure that my week is a successful one! Eating clean is a challenge, but it can be so much easier if you are prepared and you do your research on delicious tasting clean recipes!

Anita Get Fit’s Clean Steak Fajitas

1. 4-5 OZ of  Lean Sirloin

2. Mrs. Dash Fajita Lime Seasoning.

3. Two table spoons Braggs Aminos or Soy Sauce

4. Garlic Powder

5. Onion powder

6. Chopped bell peppers (multiple colors)

7. 1/4 cup of black beans.

8. 1 Tablespoon of fat free taco seasoned cheese.

9. 1 Lime

10. One garlic clove.

11. Cilantro

optional: 1/2 Low Carb whole grain tortilla or 1/4 cup of white rice.

Dice lean sirloin into square chunks. Seasonwith Garlic poweder, Mrs. Dash seasoning, onion powder, marinade with Braggs or soy sauce and lime. Let sit in refrigerator for 1 hour.

Chop garlic. Heat up pan with PAM non stick spray (organic olive oil). Pan fry garlic. Add chopped peppers and pan fry. on high heat until edges are slightly burnt and peppers are soft. Add steak and continue to stir fry.

Place mixture into bowl, top with more lime juice, 1/4 cup of black beans, cilantro to taste.

The mixture is absolutely delicious without the tortilla. It makes a fabulous fajita bowl! I eat it with just a bit of rice!

If you would like an extra kick on top of your fajita bowl add a tablespoon of greek yogurt. I like to put my greek yogurt into a blender, mix with cilantro, salt, and jalapeño juice to create a low fat creamy topping!
