These are the BOMB.COM!! They may not be the HEALTHIEST way to prepare sprouts, but boy are they ever a delicious treat! If you are watching your waist line, or want to avoid to much fat, be sure to go light on the amount of sauce you put on your sprouts! These are delicious just with a smidge of the sauce and the flavors cooked into the sprouts! Be sure to give the sprouts enough time as they take a while to become tender enough.
1 Cup of chicken broth
1 Tablespoon of butter
2 slices of thick cut bacon
2 bay leaves
Instructions: Pre heat oven at 350.
Place foil over baking pan. Pour 1/4 cup of olive oil into baking pan. Place Brussel Sprouts in pan. Squeeze fresh lemon over sprouts and then top with lemon slices and pay leaves. Fold foil over to completely encase sprouts. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
Heat butter butter into pan and fry bacon until crispy. Place sprouts, chicken broth and butter into pan and cook sprouts until tender. The butter, chicken broth, lemon and bacon juice will create a nice creamy sauce! Salt and pepper to taste!
